happy anniversary

Hey cute husband,
Happy 2nd Anniversary! You know how I love blogging, so I had to leave you a special message here!

Thank you for an amazing anniversary weekend! Cocktails and dinner were so yummy on Saturday. And I had a blast ice skating with you on Sunday, holding hands and trying not to fall. The little cake you ordered from our wedding cake artist was amazing, even though you dropped it upside-down onto the stove before we had a piece ;)

Thank you for letting me spend a crazy amount of time working on crafty projects and coming up with even more projects. Thank you for all the times you've made us dinner and cleaned the entire house so I could try and catch up on the hundreds of blogs in my Google Reader (must cut back!) or finish a lesson for one of the many scrapbooking classes I've taken. And of course, thank you for being a willing participant all the times I've asked you to journal for a scrapbook page! I think you're the sweetest husband to help me spend more time on the hobbies that make me happy!

happy birthday, lolly!

Today is my mother-in-law's birthday... Happy Birthday, Lolly! Wishing you a lovely day and a wonderful year!

Steve and I wanted to do something really meaningful and special for his mom, so we put together a mini scrapbook album. Steve was so cute, helping pick out what papers he thought his mom would like best. Then I took over to create the album. I love how it turned out and hope she likes this keepsake album!

 

 

 

 
 
For this project we used the Making Memories Noteworthy line. It was really fun to select the photos and put this mini book together!

our bumblebee - rocco

So because I am his "mama," I think Rocco is absolutely adorable in his new Halloween costume. Unfortunately, even a size small is way oversized on our little guy!

 
 


The headpiece constantly slides off and he can step right out of the bumblebee shirt. But gosh do I love him in his costume! We got the bee costume at the local Halloween store and this is the smallest they carry. So I guess I'm heading to Target later this week for a different extra-small size costume!


 
 

new layouts and... meet rocco!

This little guy is Rocco, our new puppy! We bring him home tomorrow and we are so so excited! Rocco is coming from a breeder near Racine. We visited this past Sunday, met all the puppies, and met the parents, too. Rocco immediately gravitated toward me and in the end fell asleep curled up next to Steve while all the other puppies went off to cuddle with each other.

We've been really busy getting ready for Rocco's arrival, buying new supplies and puppy-proofing the house. We know it will be lots of work at first, but we couldn't be more thrilled to add Rocco to the family!

I'm sure there will be many Rocco layouts once he arrives. In the meantime, here are some recent creations made with previous Paper Posies kits.
